From an early age I loved to draw, I guess it's the same for most gifted children. I was extremely blessed to have a mother that would encourage me to draw. My mother (as a teacher), she new exactly the right way to lead me. That's the problem with today's schools; we don't spot the gifted ones and encourage them in their specified areas. This way the children would excel in something they were good at and be a great use to the community.
Of course we all know that. From a young age you would be learning skills towards your goals in life, rather than being physically forced or punished to learn topics that are of no use to you. Pictures, Paintings, Artwork, Images and Sculptures have all been used for millions of years, images for the visionary mind. Think of the Aboriginal tribes of Australia, the Egyptians, Aztecs, and Romans etc. the list goes on.
With my mother behind me, I had a head start finding out what I was good at and it's safe to say I enjoyed endless hours doing it. To this date I always analyse everything, building a mental image in my mind. I used to play games with my visual memory. One day I remember kneeling on the back seat of the Mini we had, with my two younger brothers and I looking backwards and waving at people, spotting nice cars and big trucks. I remember this big truck following us closely and I set myself a challenge. This was to remember every detail of the truck and draw it when I got home.
The works of art I create have that kind of detail in, yet when you stand back the colours will be what you notice first. In some of my work you may look deeper and spot something else that you missed before. Once you have seen it, your mind will never forget and you will always see the hidden image. From that moment on it will be clear, some people will never see the hidden images. Take a closer look, can you? Now I'm in my mid 30's and still loving art as I used to as a kid. Things are slightly different as we have computers that touch every part of our lives. I remember programs on TV about how soon it would be before we didn't have to work, because computers would do it all...Ha...If only! I use a powerful laptop that's truly amazing, however very time consuming. I also make electronic music and DJ around the world for a living, all with the aid of this single computer. It's possible to have an art studio and music studio in the same book size slab of hi-tech metal and plastic. I'm fortunate enough to DJ all around the world; I see some amazing parts of our mad planet. Taking pictures of anything that gives me ideas for this work you see here at Symplest. I hope this has given you a brief insight on how we create the images you can view and purchase for your own environment.
We all love it, we all have our own styles and tastes and it's a way of expressing yourself to others and reflecting the taste within you. With the digital age here and now, we can create colourful images that are unique and project them onto materials for your home, office, hotel, bar and club.
